California! (Sometime in Feb 2010)

My first trip to California --

This was the place that made me feel that there are always better things in world than the ones you think are the best. To an extent, it also made me realize that I was wrong to think that I could achieve everything I wanted, with obvious (and clichéd) virtues like hard-work, studies, motivation, etc. Having made it to the United States and studying in the program of my choice had started to make me believe that I am close to making my dreams come true. But now I have a set of new dreams. The only difference is that this time I don’t even have a vague idea of how I am going to achieve it. Rather, am I even going to get close to it?

Although this might sound depressing, I am not depressed. I think this is what I badly needed - a good eye-opener which has given me new goals, new dreams, and the renewed zeal to work harder towards them. And even if I don’t have a clear idea of how I am going to work it out, I am going to continue pursuing my dreams. "Who knows what the tide could bring?"
